First Baptist Church of Webster

We aren’t a big flashy church; there are times that we sing off key and even fumble with words when we are called on to pray. You won’t find perfect people in our church family… We have scars, sins, and baggage but because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have Hope. Praise God we are Loved, Forgiven, and are a work in progress!

Founded in 1891, known as a ‘praying church’, we are located in the Central Florida community of Webster, famous for one of the states largest outdoor farmers market. We preach and teach God’s Word. We still sing the same beautiful hymns of yesteryear, while incorporating current praise and worship with contemporary and gospel music.

We are all on a journey together to know God better. Whether your journey just began or you have known God for years, there are opportunities here to deepen your relationship with God. Our Events

Nursing Home Ministry

Operation Christmas Child

Get in those last minute items or help cover shipping! We will be planning a packing party in late October or early November! Shipping this year costs $10.00 per box and we are planning to send 300 boxes!

We are collecting new, unused items each month in anticipation to pack shoe boxes in October for this wonderful ministry! You can drop off your items by the sign-up table in Bldg. E. You can also donate monetarily to help cover shipping costs!

ALL Kingdom Kidz Volunteers are requested to be in attendance as we discuss our new changes and how you feel they are working. We will also go over some new things we will be trying for the rest of the year. We look forward to seeing you there! -PS there will be snacks!

Seniors are encouraged to sign-up today to go on our road trip in October. Only 25 seats are available! We will be leaving at 3pm to head to Orlando. We will stop for supper on the way. Please see Richard Williams for more information.

Church Family Work Day

Join us for our Church Family work day and lunch!
We are looking for help in the following areas…
Painting, pressure washing, throwing mulch, wiping down pews, cleaning windows, organizing closets, & wiping down interior doors. See Brian Stafford for more information.

Members are requested to stay for a brief church family business meeting directly after the service to go over our quarterly financials, vote on 2023 Servant leaders and our 2023 Budget!

Sam Harris Park, Webster

Families can enjoy a safe evening together participating in this FREE event! A total of 6 churches have joined in on this effort to provide a night of fun and safe activities for the whole family.

Families will find bounce houses, bull riding, rock climbing walls, a train, free food, and wonderful music when they visit! As always we will offer a costume contest for children birth through high school!

So come on out and join in on the fun!

Pumpkin Patch

Oct. 8th-31st

We welcome you to our Pumpkin Patch! There will be picture opportunities, pumpkins for sale and concessions daily. We have a special “Pumpkin Jubilee” on Saturday, October 22nd to check out as well! We hope you will attend.

At First Baptist Church of Webster we offer a 10:30am worship service on Sundays. We have a blended music style of hymns, praise songs, and contemporary gospel, and we always have a message from God’s Word that is relevant and encouraging.

We are excited to announce we will now have a time of fellowship just before our small groups in the courtyard! There will be coffee, danishes, fruit, and just some good ‘ol fellowship!

The word of God teaches us to grow in our relationship with God; one of the best ways is joining a small group. We have a class for everyone from birth and up!

Elevate Kidz Church Power Up

(8 weeks starting Sunday 9/18)

“Power UP”
Kids join their parents in our 10:30am Worship Service in bldg. E through the music time. Then, they are escorted out to Kidz Church with their leaders.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to actually play inside a video game? Children grades K-5th will join Rom, Ram and the Game Boss to play games, decode puzzles, and learn from Psalm 101 how to live a life completely powered up!

Ignite Students

Every Wednesday Night from 5:45pm-7:30pm

Ignite Youth is a place for Youth grades 6th-12th to come hang out, make new friends, be fed dinner and learn some valuable life lessons! Our students are led by our Youth Director, Dee Strickland who has a Master’s in education, was a middle school teacher, is now a local elementary school Assistant Principle and has a heart for the youth in our community.

Kingdom Kidz Live

Every Wednesday Night from 5:45pm-7:30pm

We are so excited to announce that we will be back to our normal Kidz Groups starting Wednesday, August 24th! This group is for kids nursery-5th grades. Our volunteers are getting geared up and ready to teach, play games, and make friendships! We offer free dinner and bus rides as well. If your child needs a ride call Kara Stafford at 352-444-8707.
