First Baptist Church of Webster
We aren’t a big flashy church; there are times that we sing off key and even fumble with words when we are called on to pray. You won’t find perfect people in our church family… We have scars, sins, and baggage but because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have Hope. Praise God we are Loved, Forgiven, and are a work in progress!
Founded in 1891, known as a ‘praying church’, we are located in the Central Florida community of Webster, famous for one of the states largest outdoor farmers market. We preach and teach God’s Word. We still sing the same beautiful hymns of yesteryear, while incorporating current praise and worship with contemporary and gospel music through the sweet sound of our celebration choir.
We are all on a journey together to know God better. Whether your journey just began or you have known God for years, there are opportunities here to deepen your relationship with God. Sunday, May 24th at 10:30am
After many weeks and hours of prayer and listening to God we are happy to announce the gathering of our church family indoors for worship services! Starting Sunday, May the 24th at 10:30am we will have our first gathering together inside since mid-March. Yes, it has been that long! And we sure miss you all. We are calling this “Phase 1” of our opening process. This gathering for worship will be in the Ignite Fellowship Hall.
Your FBCW Staff, Deacons and Pastor have come together and decided on Phase 1 as follows:
- A 10:30 Worship Service only in the Ignite Fellowship Hall.
- Please enter the Ignite Fellowship Hall from the portico doors facing the Elementary School.
- We will use the metal chairs for easy moving for social distancing, easy cleaning after the services and the ability to store them easily.
- There will be no other buildings opened during Phase 1.
- Nursery will not be provided
- We ask that you use the bathrooms—one person at a time.
- We strongly suggest that you wear a mask for your protection and everyone else’s.
- NO ONE SHOULD COME TO THE SERVICE IF THEY ARE SICK OR HAVE HAD ANY CONTACT WITH THOSE WHO ARE SICK IN THE LAST 14 DAYS. STAY HOME, GET WELL, THEN COME ON BACK!
- Social distancing will be required until further notice in the service.
- NO buses will be running during Phase 1.
